Freedom House : together with its staff, affiliates, supporters and members across the state -hereby Commiserates with our dear party Members in Rivers state; and in particularly, the families and relatives of the accident victims on transit from Abuja to Rivers state, from the Special Presidential Convention of our great Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This sad event, in which Jon Onimiteim Vincent Samuel of APC Akuku- Toru lost his dear life and others gravely injured, coming after a most successful and rancour – free Presidential Primaries convention, turned our jubilation to sadness and grief.
We pray God to grant us solace at this difficult moment, even as we pray for the repose of the soul of our dear brother and friend, Onimiteim and ask that his family be consoled by the realisation that this very painful loss is shared by many, all of us.
We urge all to be strong and pray for the family at this time in the sure and certain hope that:
In His time, God shall make everything beautiful.
