A food vendor accused of using water used in bathing dead bodies to prepare food at the Port Harcourt Township has been reportedly vindicated after investigation by the Police.
Sources say the woman was yesterday, attacked by some of her customers and residents of the area, who accused her of using evil means to attract customers.
They said it took the intervention of the Police to stop the woman from being lynched by the mob.
However, it was gathered that after a thorough investigation, it was discovered that the incident was a calculated attempt by some unscrupulous elements to tarnish the vendors image and destroy her business.
A source who spoke to us, said the rumor of the vendor using diabolical means has been going on for long, as a result of her flourishing business.
He said the move was as a result of envy from other food vendors in the area.
