The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State, has alleged that members of the People’s Democratic Party are now impersonating officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission to carry out an illegal “PVC mop up exercise.”
Publicity Secretary of the party, Darlington Nwauju who made this known said the impersonators have been sighted at Obio/Akpor LGA, collecting PVC numbers and account details from unsuspecting members of the public.
He called on the Police to immediately mount surveillance and arrest those involved.
“PDP members now impersonating INEC officials to carry out an illegal “PVC mop up exercise”. The impersonators have been sighted now at the Akpor areas of Obalga collecting PVC numbers, account details and phone numbers from unsuspecting voters,” he said.
“The Nigeria Police should immediately mount surveillance and arrest these criminals,” he added.
