The Rivers State African Democratic Congress (ADC) Governorship Campaign Council has raised concerns over the alleged deliberate destruction of its campaign billboards at Rumuigbo and Eleme Junction.
The council, in a statement issued by its Deputy Director, Communications, Media and Public Affairs Directorate, Chief Hon. Kate Sam-Ngbor, condemned the incidents, saying it had taken note of the actions.
Sam-Ngbor described the statement as a reminder rather than a complaint, warning that those responsible should be prepared for the consequences of their actions.
“Those who sow the wind should be prepared to reap the whirlwind,” she stated.
The council called on security agencies to take note of the incidents while urging its supporters to remain calm, peaceful and focused, stressing that it would not be drawn into violence.
It further maintained that the destruction of its billboards would not affect its campaign, insisting that its message remained clear and the movement intact.
