The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced online accreditation of journalists and media organisations intending to cover the 2027 General Elections.
The Commission, in a notice, said interested media organisations seeking to deploy journalists for election coverage are expected to apply through its accreditation portal at https://imap.inecnigeria.org.
According to INEC, the portal opened on Friday, October 30, 2026, and will close on Tuesday, December 1, 2026, at midnight.
The Commission warned that late applications would not be accepted, noting that the portal would shut down automatically at the deadline.
The 2027 General Elections are scheduled to hold on January 16 and February 6, 2027.
