Five persons have been reportedly killed in Bori, and Ogbakiri Communities, in Khana and Emohua Local Government Areas of Rivers state during yesterday’s elections.
Two were killed in Bori while the other three persons were shot dead in Emohua.
Sources say the five persons were shot dead by security operatives while trying to hijack election materials in their respective areas.
Chairman of Rivers APC, Emeka Beke who confirmed the incident in Emohua said the three persons were with Sam Oge, a member of the state assembly.
“Today three people were killed in Ogbakiri. They were with the serving lawmaker, Sam Oge. They were hijacking snatching ballot boxes and they were killed. The governor said he is popular then while the ballot boxes snatchings? he said.
