Governorship candidate of the All Progrressives Grand Alliance in Rivers State Hon. Ugo Beke says as an Ikwerre man, the demographics will favour him in next year’s election.
Beke, who said this in a statement at the weekend revealed that he never believed in zoning and the federal character principle.
According to him, the principle should not be encouraged in the interest of national unity, development and economic growth, adding that the principle was undemocratic, unethical and antithetical to national progress.
“The principle has further divided Nigeria. The federal character principle, zoning is undemocratic. It cannot give the best result that can take the country to a greater height globally. It further divides Nigeria,” he said.
“As an Ikwere Man, with my antecedents, the demographics will favour me,” he added.
