The Rivers State Coalition of Civil Society Organisation (RIVCSO) has threatened to carry-out a massive protest against the state Police command if they continue to delay the prosecution and arraignment of Police officers involved in the murder of ‘Sleek’ Ikeaguchi, at Elelenwo.
Enefa Georgewill, Chairman of RIVCSO made this known during a briefing of the coalition and the family of the deceased yesterday in Port Harcourt.
Georgewill said it is worrisome that two weeks after the death of Sleek the Police is yet to reach out and commiserate with the family.
He said despite the glaring evidence at hand to prosecute the officers, the Police is still dragging it’s feet over the matter.
He alleged that the actions of the Police shows that they are trying to sweep the case under the carpet and shield its officers involved in the murder.
He said the coalition will stop at nothing to ensure that all those involved in the murder of the young aspiring musician is brought to book.
