Rhapsody of Realities 4 November 2026: The Sinless Substitute
SCRIPTURE: For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins (Hebrews 10:4).
The Bible lets us know that due to Adam’s transgression, every man born into this world was born into sin. It says by one man’s disobedience, referring to Adam, many were made sinners (Romans 5:19). And there was no permanent salvation from sin until Jesus Christ.
To provide permanent salvation, the sacrifice for sin had to be sinless. But there was none. No man qualified. This is why the blood of animals could never save mankind. The sacrifices offered under the Law had to be repeated continually because, as the Bible says, “it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”
An animal is a lower order of being. How then could the blood of a lower being take away the sins of man or purify the human soul? It couldn’t. A sinless man had to take our place. That’s why the Lord Jesus came into the world. He had to be born of a virgin so His life wouldn’t be touched by sinful man. Every human life comes from the seed of a man, but the life of the Lord Jesus came from the Word of God.
The angel came to Mary with God’s message, declaring that she would bear a Son who would save His people from their sins. Mary received that Word, and she conceived. The Word of God is seed, and from that incorruptible seed the Lord Jesus was born.
John opens his Gospel with these remarkable words: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God” (John 1:1). This same Word by which God created all things became flesh and dwelt among us. He was the living Word manifested in human form.
Untainted by Adam’s fallen nature, He alone qualified to become the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the whole world. Blessed be God! Jesus became the sinless substitute who took your place. Through His perfect sacrifice, you’ve received eternal life and His righteousness, and have been brought into everlasting fellowship with the Father.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your wonderful plan of redemption. Thank you for sending Jesus, the living Word made flesh, to become the perfect and sinless sacrifice for our salvation. I rejoice that through His finished work, I’ve received righteousness, and eternal life, and I have been brought into everlasting fellowship with you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

John 1:1
1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word ([a]Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.
John 1:14
14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth.
Hebrews 9:11-14
11 But [that appointed time came] when Christ (the Messiah) appeared as a High Priest of the better things that have come and are to come. [Then] through the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with [human] hands, that is, not a part of this material creation,
12 He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).
13 For if [the mere] sprinkling of unholy and defiled persons with blood of goats and bulls and with the ashes of a burnt heifer is sufficient for the purification of the body,
14 How much more surely shall the blood of Christ, Who by virtue of [His] eternal Spirit [His own preexistent divine personality] has offered Himself as an unblemished sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the [ever] living God?
1 Peter 1:18-19
18 You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold,
19 But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.
