Senator, Shehu Sani has reacted to claims by Governor, Nyesom Wike that he was betrayed by Some Southern Governors in the just concluded Presidential Primaries of the People’s Democratic Party.
Wike, who lost the primaries to Alhaji, Atiku Abubakar accused some Southern Governors of betraying him.
However, Sen. Sani in a statement on his official Twitter Page, said Wike was not betrayed by the Governors, adding that they only opted for an aspirant who can win the general elections.
He also said, despite the fact that Wike lost the election, he remains a formidable force.
“Wike remains an indispensable force for the battle ahead, he said
“I don’t think the Southern Governors betrayed Wike; they simply looked beyond the primaries and opted for a formidable aspirant who can overcome northern sentiment, mobilise voters and ultimately win the general elections,” he added.
