The Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Obinna Anyanwu Ph.D has approved and paid special educational intervention fund to one hundred undergraduate students of the Rivers State University who are natives of Etche.
This is following the implementation of ‘No Fees, No Exam’ policy by the management of the Rivers State University RSU.
Dr. Anyanwu while issuing out the funds to the students yesterday evening, noted that his will continue to assist in securing a future for the young people in by investing in education.
He described education as the bedrock of development and that he understands the difficulties some parents are passing through to pay tuition fees for their children.
In his remarks, President, National Union of Etche Students Worldwide, Chineme Onyekwe commended Dr. Anyanwu for his timely assistance to the students.
Some benefiting students appreciated the Etche Council Chairman for his kind gesture towards them.
