The Police in Rivers State, has taken over the State Secretariat of the Nigeria Labour Congress, from the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp, NSCDC.
The NSCDC, had yesterday barricaded the premises and denied workers access to the building, following the announcement of the removal of Chairperson of the union, Beatrice Itubo.

The Rivers State Civil Society Organizations had earlier today, issued a 24hr ultimatum to the NSCDC to vacate the premises.
