Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has again berated the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu over the purported suspension of some members of the party in some states.
Speaking, during the campaign of the PDP in Khana LGA Today, the governor described the act as tyranny and vowed not to hesitate to challenge the illegal action should it be metted out to any member of the party in Rivers State.
According to him, Ayu should know that the battle line is drawn.
He said nobody can threaten or intimidate them, adding that if the party is not careful, they will cause more damage to themselves as long as the forthcoming election is concerned.
“Iyorchia Ayu and his team are suspending people illegally, I want him to know that the battle line has been drawn. We will not fail to challenge it in court if they bring such illegality to Rivers State or to any of my friends,” he said.
“We are above that level that anyone can intimidate or threaten us. We are waiting for them, if they are not careful, they are going to cause more damage to themselves as long as this election is concerned,” he added.
