A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party loyal to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has announced the dates and venues for the 2026 screening exercise for all aspirants seeking to participate in the party’s primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to a notice signed by the party’s National Director of Publicity, Adm. Chinwe Nnorom, the screening exercise for aspirants contesting State and National Assembly positions will hold at the state level on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
The positions to be screened include aspirants for State Houses of Assembly as well as the National Assembly, comprising the House of Representatives and Senate.
The party stated that the exercise will take place at the PDP State Secretariat or any other venue approved by the State Working Committee in each state, beginning at 12:00 p.m.
The statement further disclosed that screening for governorship and presidential aspirants will be conducted at the national level on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
According to the party, the exercise will hold at the PDP National Secretariat Annex, Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja.
The PDP urged all aspirants to take note of the schedule and comply accordingly.
