The All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has hailed electorates in Rivers State, especially those living in the rural areas for the increased reception and acceptability showered on our party.
Quite instructively, from the interactions and consultations we have had as a party in recent times with registered voters at the grassroots level in Khana LGA, Omuma, Degema, Akuku-Toru, Asari-Toru and the neglected waterside communities in Port Harcourt and Isaka, we are confident that our party under the firm leadership of Chief Emeka Beke and our Governorship candidate, Pastor (Architect)Tonye Cole enjoys the followership that keeps us in a comfortable position even though elections were to be held today.
We invite the Rivers electorates to take note of the unique grassroots pattern of our consultations which entails engagements with people at the polling units. This is against the elitist style adopted by our neighbours who are only interested in the Nairalization of the electoral process by buying perceived strongmen. But, the bad news for our neighbours is that votes now count and the people are now Kings and Queens. The era of political strongmen who carry ballotboxes and author fictitious results is all over.
The good news is that only the Three Million Six Hundred and Eighty-Nine Thousand One Hundred and Ninety-Seven (3,689,197) registered voters in Rivers State can decide who occupies the Brick House come May 29 2023.
