NURSS NATIONAL INSPECTS THE ONGOING UNION’S NATIONAL SECRETARIAT PROJECT; THANKS GOV. NYESOM EZENWO WIKE & DECLARES HIM THE GRAND PATRON OF EDUCATION IN RIVERS STATE.
A delegation from the union led by the president & commander-in-chief of all Aluta forces, National Union of Rivers State Students’ Comr Zachariah Levi George went on a tour, within the environs of the ongoing NURSS National Secretariat building project, initiated by the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency Chief Barr Gov Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – CON GSSRS POS(Africa).
The delegation led by the president Comr. Zachariah, observed workers as they put final touches to the magnificent edifice which was already completed to a great percentage.
After the tour, the union held a meeting with the contractor handling the project, where they expressed satisfaction at the progress and quality of work done.
The contractor who was once a public relations officer of the union at the University of Calabar, during the meeting, stated that the building will be completed in the month of July and that he is happy to handle this kind of project.
The president Comr. Zachariah told the media that, the union decided to embark on the supervision of the project in the full glare of the media, in order to showcase the unparalleled love the Grand Patron of NURSS, His Excellency Chief Barr. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has for Rivers Students’ and his investment in Education.
Comr Zachariah Levi George also appealed to the Rivers State Governor, to make out time to inspect the record breaking project for him to also check and ascertain the quality of job done.
In his words:
“No Governor has done this kind of project for his students in the history of Nigeria, this is first of its kind.”
“We therefore use this medium to appeal that while the Governor is inspecting projects like the three flyovers, the Mother and Child hospital and others, he should also visit the Rivers State Students National Secretariat, to check and ascertain the good level of work done”
“We are very hopeful that it will be completed in no distant time and be added in the list of quality projects executed by His Excellency, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike a.k.a Mr. Quality Project”.
Furthermore, Comr. Zachariah on behalf of the national leadership of the union, announced the Governor as the The Grand Patron Of Education In Rivers State.
“The Governor has indeed demonstrated unsurpassable love for students and education.”
“Therefore we make this solemn pronouncement, to honourably bestow on the Governor – as the GRAND PATRON of EDUCATION in Rivers State.”
“Rivers State students love and appreciate you, Your Excellency Mr. Quality Projects”.
