The Nigeria Liquefied and Natural Gas, NLNG has donated medical equipments worth 2.8 million USD, to the Rivers State government to help fight the coronavirus pandemic.
The General Manager Corporate Affairs of NLNG, Joe Alagoa, yesterday, presented the items to the government at the state palliatives office in Port Harcourt. He said the donation is part of the company’s contribution to assist the government fight the pandemic.
The State Commissioner of Health, who received the equipments on behalf of the government commended NLNG for the worthy donation during this trying time.
The General Manager also assured the commissioner, that the company have also resolved to provide equipment worth 1 million USD, to upgrade the Rivers State Teaching Hospital and also set-up a 10 bed holding centre in Bonny.
He noted that NLNG will also donate two pick-up vans, five ventilators, 30 monitors, 17,000 pieces of protective gears, and distribute food items to its host communities.
