Legendary Nigerian actor, Romanus Amuta popularly known as ‘Natty’ is dead.
The actor, who was reportedly battling an unknown ailment passed on in the early hours of Wednesday, in Lagos.
His eldest son, Chukwuma Amuta disclosed this in a statement today. He hailed his father for doing his best for the family and everyone around him.
The actor was rumuored to have past on in 2009, after he had stroke. However, his family debunked the report.
Natty, a talented actor, came into the limelight after featuring in the ‘New Masquerade’ which was one of the most popular TV series in the 80s.
He started his career in the media landscape and worked with Daily Times newspaper before delving into the movie industry.
Friends and colleagues of the late actor have taken to their social media handles to mourn him.
