A State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has ruled that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will henceforth, have to get a go-ahead from the state government before embarking on any project in the state.
The ruling was delivered by Justice Adolphus Enebeli yesterday in Port Harcourt.
The court also ruled that the commission has no power to claim any land in the state without the consent of the state government. The suit was instituted by the Rivers State government against the commission in 2017.
