The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the death of a yet-to-be Identified man who reportedly slumped by the roadside in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Spokesperson of the Command, Grace Koko confirmed the Incident which happened on Tuesday afternoon, April 11, 2023, at Rumuigbo Junction of Obio-Akpor LGA.
She said investigation is on to ascertain what happened.
According to Vanguard, a source who gave her name as Grace, said that when the man fell, he struggled for a while to stand up but couldn’t.
The witness also said, passersby who gathered around the man were only taking pictures instead of helping him.
“This afternoon, the man was walking by the roadside. Later he fell down. Some people gathered around him. He was struggling to stand up but couldn’t. He later died,” she said.
“Nobody knew him. People were afraid to touch him because if police come now they may arrest you for questioning. So nobody wanted problem. The man died there,” she added.
