Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has blamed former National Chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu for the party’s poor performance in the 2023 presidential election.
Wike, said this during a media chat with journalists in Port Harcourt yesterday.
According to him, Ayu had no political clot and had nothing to offer the party, adding that he won in his state and has something to offer.
He also said they are happy Ayu did not leave when they wanted him to as they would have said his ouster was the reason the party lost the election.
“So, you can see that he (Ayu) has nothing to offer to the party. We won here which means we have something to offer to the party. Ayu has nothing to offer to the party,” he said.
“We are happy that Ayu did not go that time because if he had gone, they would have been saying that it was because he left that is why we lost (the presidential election),” he added.
