An indigene of Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, identified as Akandu Bright has decried the deplorable condition of the Amaku Igbodo Primary School in the area.
Akandu, in a post on his Facebook page today, said it is disheartening that schools with dilapidated structures are found in most communities in the LGA.
He explained that despite the condition of schools in the area, their leaders are doing little or nothing about the situation.
Akandu, said rather than build new schools which they are not sure of its completion, the old ones should be renovated, as “a bird at hand is better than 100 in the bush.
“This is Rivers State Primary School in Amaku Igbodo, Etche Local Government Area”, he said.
“The Rivers State Governor, Etche LG Chairman and the Councilor representing these communities should please do something about these situations before something do us, atleast renovate some of these schools for our children,” he added.
