One Progress Fimie who resides at Road 24 in Agip Estate, has been remanded in prison custody by a Chief Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt, for allegedly defiling his 5-year-old daughter.
Chief Magistrate, Amaka Amanze remanded the suspect, who did not take his plea when he was arraigned yesterday, and adjourned the matter to December 9, 2021.
She ordered that the matter be transferred to the Director of Public Prosecution for legal advise.
Meanwhile, stakeholders have called for proper investigation of the matter and ensure that Justice is served.
They decried the high rate of sexual abuse in the state, and called for stiffer punishment to serve as deterrent to others.
