Accord Party chairmanship candidate for Eleme Local Government Council in the Oct. 5th local government elections in Rivers State, Hon. Emmanuel John Nwafor says he is optimistic that Gov. Sim Fubara will not interfere in the process.
Nwafor, who made this known in a chat with Towncrier said insinuations that the governor is trying to favour a particular party are unfounded, as he is a man of the people.
He called on Gov. Fubara not to allow those he described as “political jobbers” to mislead him, noting that all political parties that have indicated interest are in support of him.
“So, I’m hopeful, I’m optimistic that the governor will give a level playing ground to all political parties. I want to urge the governor, our own performing governor, Governor Siminalayi Fubara not to allow political jobbers to direct him in the wrong direction. All political parties that have indicated interest in this election are fully in support of him.“
“well, there are speculations, there are insinuations from the grapevine that the governor is trying to favour a particular party . . . Now, these speculations, I see them as unfounded because judging by his antecedents he’s a man of the people,” he said.
