The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has withdrawn its earlier memorandum announcing the suspension of all non-academic-related student activities.
Head of Information, Protocol and Public Relations, Dr. Sam Kpenu in a press release issued on Monday, said the memorandum dated July 20, 2026, titled “Suspension of All Non-Academic-Related Student Activities,” had been circulating on various platforms but has now been withdrawn with immediate effect.
The management directed students, staff, and the general public to disregard the earlier communication.
The university also clarified that all approved academic and non-academic activities across its faculties, departments, centres, institutes, and other units will continue as scheduled.
UNIPORT expressed regret over any inconvenience the withdrawn memorandum may have caused students, staff, and other stakeholders.
