The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented Certificates of Return to the winner of the Rivers South East Senatorial election, Senator Olaka Nwogu, and other successful candidates in the bye-elections held on June 20, 2026, across Rivers, Enugu, Nasarawa, Ondo and Kano states.
The certificates were presented on behalf of the INEC Chairman, Joash Amupitan, by the Supervising National Commissioner for Rivers State, May Agbamuche-Mbu.
In her remarks, Mrs. Agbamuche-Mbu congratulated the winners and urged them to serve their constituents diligently, emphasizing that their most important responsibility is to represent the people effectively.
She also disclosed that Certificates of Return would be presented to winners of the Zuru State Constituency election in Kebbi State and the governorship election in Ekiti State.
National Commissioners representing the various constituencies subsequently presented the certificates to the elected candidates, formally recognizing them as the duly returned winners of their respective elections.
