The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the deployment of election personnel and materials from the Super Registration Area Centre (RAC) in Koroma, Tai Local Government Area, to various polling units ahead of the Rivers South-East Senatorial District bye-election.
The movement, which marks the final phase of preparations for the poll, is progressing smoothly as officials work to ensure the timely opening of polling units across the affected areas. Electoral officers, ad hoc staff and sensitive election materials are being transported to their designated locations in readiness for voting.
INEC stated that the deployment is aimed at ensuring a seamless electoral process and enabling eligible voters to cast their ballots without delay. Security personnel have also been mobilised to provide support and maintain order throughout the exercise
