Indorama donates foodstuffs to the People of Etche

Oil giant, Indorama Eleme Petrochemical has donated foodstuffs to the people of Igbo kingdom in Etche Local Government of Rivers state. This is to help cushion the effect of the lockdown in the state.

Representative of the firm, Hon. Morgan Nwaobilor presented the items to the Paramount Ruler, King Dr. S.N. Amaechi JP KSC. ONYE-ISHI Agwuru Igbo Kingdom, at his palace today.

Hon. Morgan stated that they decided to donate the items to help the less privileged in the area this period of the global pandemic. This will encourage residents to stay at home and obey the WHO directives to help curb the spread of the virus, he noted.

The monarch in his remark, commended the management of Indorama for their kind gesture. He equally thanked them for assisting Gov. Wike in the fight against the pandemic. The king assured the firm that the food items will be evenly distributed.

Dr. Amaechi, who said the items will go a long way to ease the sufferings of the people, urged other multi-nationals operating in state to emulate Indorama.
