The People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State has berated the 27 pro-Wike lawmakers over threats to resume impeachment proceedings against Gov. Sim Fubara.
Publicity Secretary of the party, Sydney Gbara in a statement said while legislatures in other states are making laws for the development of their states, the RSHA is busy making laws to impede development in the state.
He said the Amaewhule-led lawmakers whose legitimacy is still being challenged in court should bury their hands in shame for allowing themselves to be used to cause chaos in the state.
According to him, Gov. Fubara has done nothing to warrant impeachment proceedings, adding that all efforts to illegally remove the governor will be resisted.
He also took a swipe at the Acting chairman of the APC in the state, Tony Okocha accusing him of trying to coerce the governor into implementing what he described as an illegal 8-point agenda.
Recall that the lawmakers had few days ago threatened to resume impeachment proceedings against the governor for allegedly going against the laws of the state.
