The Chairman of Emouha Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chidi Lloyd yesterday, led a peaceful protest over illegal oil refining in the area.
Lloyd, who marched with protesters along major roads in the area, called on the Federal Government to put an end to the illegal activity.
He accused military officers and highly placed individuals of being involved.
He said the menace has destroyed the Eco system of the area and brought different ailments to people of the council.
The council boss, added that there is little or nothing he could do to stop it, as security agencies saddled with such responsibility are controlled by the Federal Government.
He threatened to name and shame all those involved including traditional rulers, if they fail to desist from the act.
