Management of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Rivers State has suspended a lecturer with the Department of Management, Mr. Godwin Olai for three months over alleged misconduct.
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele made this known in a statement on Monday.
He said an audio recording revealed that the lecturer was demanding the sum of Seventy thousand naira from students assigned to him for project supervision.
Mr Olai, in the audio recording offered to write the entire project for the students if the pay the said sum.
The VC, noted that the matter has been referred to the Staff Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.
