Rivers State recorded 6 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,373 with 7,211 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its official website on Tuesday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 154 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with – 119, Akwa Ibom-11, Rivers-6, Oyo-5, Ekiti-4, Ogun-4, FCT-2, Gombe-2 and Kwara-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 168,867 with 164,623 recovered patients, and 2,125 deaths.
The agency has urged Nigerians to take the vaccines as it is safe and have no side effects.
