A presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rotimi Amaechi, has dismissed speculations of a looming crisis within the party.
Amaechi stated that he would remain in the party and confront any challenges that may arise, rather than abandon the ADC over internal disagreements.
The former Minister of Transportation made the remarks on Wednesday in Abuja after appearing before the ADC presidential screening committee.
Speaking with journalists after the exercise, Amaechi said leaving the party would not solve any problem, stressing that similar issues could emerge elsewhere.
According to him, the best approach is to confront and resolve such challenges, adding that he does not believe the ADC is currently facing any crisis.
There had been concerns in some quarters about a possible leadership tussle in the party ahead of the commencement of the ADC presidential nomination process.
