Re-elected Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke on Thursday led a high-powered delegation to the Abuja residence of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, shortly after presenting his Certificate of Return to President Bola Tinubu.
Adeleke was accompanied by his nephew and music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, leaders of the Accord Party
The visit has sparked political interest, coming shortly after Adeleke’s victory in the Osun governorship election.
During the meeting, Davido jokingly teased Wike, saying, “I won, I won you guys.” Wike replied, “So, you won us?” Davido immediately prostrated to greet the FCT Minister, after which they exchanged a warm hug.
Adeleke was declared winner of the Osun governorship election after defeating his closest rival, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
