Apostle Kassy Chukwu, reportedly the Edo State Governor’s Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Digital Media, has said Nigerian music star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has been banned from performing in Edo State.
Chukwu made the statement in a viral video in which he accused the singer of allegedly insulting Governor Monday Okpebholo and his children.
According to him, Davido should not return to Edo State to perform for the remainder of the governor’s administration.
“As your papa no bring you up to respect your elders, Davido, I want to tell you, you have been banned from coming to Edo State to perform. We no want to see you for Edo again, Davido,” Chukwu said.
He added, “Since you dey insult the governor’s children, dey insult the governor of the state, the remaining six years plus for this government, we no wan to see you.”
The statement has sparked reactions on social media, with many users debating the alleged confrontation between the singer and the Edo State Government.
