The Prince of Kalabari Kingdom and former Governorship aspirant in Rivers State, Tonye Princewill has reacted to the comment by the Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi that the Governoship position of the APC, be zoned to the riverine.
The APC chieftain in a chat with news correspondents yesterday, said he supports the Minister’s comment, as the state has had upland Governors since 1999 till date.
He said the Minister did not make the statement in isolation, but after due consultation with stakeholders of the party. “Amaechi spoke the minds of Stakeholders of the party,” he said.
Tonye Princewill also noted that he will contest the 2023 Governorship election in the state, If he gets the support of the people.
He had in a statement, after revalidating his membership of the party, in his home town, stated that it was too early to talk about the 2023 elections.
