Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, says he is not against the activities of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, but the state is not part of them, as they do not exist in Rivers State.
The Governor, who stated this in a statement on Monday, while reacting to the Sit-at-home order issued by IPOB, said the group cannot give such order in the state.
He said the order was not obeyed in Rivers State, because they are not part of it, and that Rivers is a South South State and not one of South Eastern States.
He warned the group to stay clear of the State, adding that he believes in a united Nigeria and not seccesion.
Wike who reacted to the explosion that rocked the Mile 3 market on Monday, said he had spoken to the Commissioner of Police Eboka Friday, about the incident.
He said the CP, briefed him that the explosion was from a fabricated dynamite which caused minor destruction with no casualties, and not a bomb explosion.
