The sister and twin children of former Minister of Power and All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Bayo Adelabu, have been kidnapped by suspected gunmen in Ibadan.

The incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, June 3, in the Challenge area of Ibadan South-West Local Government Area.

Confirming the development, one of Adelabu’s media aides, Femi Awogboro, disclosed that the former minister’s younger sister and her twin children, identified as Peter and Paul, were abducted by armed men at Elewura, Challenge, while travelling to connect to the expressway.

According to him, the victims were intercepted and forcefully taken away by the kidnappers during the early hours of the day.

The abduction comes just weeks after suspected terrorists launched a coordinated attack on Ahoro-Esiele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, where more than 45 pupils and their teachers were reportedly kidnapped.
