The Rivers State Police Command says it is taking inventory of casualties in last saturday’s Governorship and state House of Assembly elections.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko in a statement promised to make public, the number of persons arrested in connection with electoral violence.
She stated that investigations are ongoing as those found culpable will be prosecuted
Sources say three persons died in Ahoada West, two in Ogoni, one in Abua-Odual, one in Omuma, and three gunned down in Elibrada/ Ogbakiri Community in Emohua Local Council.
According to the Guardian, 15 persons were feared killed during the governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
