Gov Fubara Constitutes Flood Prevention, Management Committee

Rivers State Governor, Sim Fubara has constituted a 9-man Flood Prevention and Management Committee, with the Deputy Governor, Professor Ngozi Odu as Chairman.

Commissioner for Information and Communications, Warisenibo Joe Johnson made this known on Monday.

Members of the Committee include, Secretary to the State Government, Chief Dr. Tammy Wenike Danagogo, Honourable Commissioner for Social welfare and Rehabilitation, Chief Ilanmi Arugu, Commissioner for Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Engr Charles Amadi, Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Sam Anya and Commissioner for Special Projects, Dr. Roland Obed Whyte.

Others are the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Communications, Warisenibo Joe Johnson, Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Mrs. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh and Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Sydney Gbara.

The Committee held its inaugural meeting on Monday, September 23, in the Deputy Governor’s office, Government House, Port Harcourt.

The next meeting of the Committee shall be held on Friday at 2pm in the Deputy Governor’s office, with the CTC Chairmen of the 18 impacted LGAs in attendance.
