Three serving members of the House of Representatives said to be loyal to Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, have reportedly been disqualified from participating in the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primaries scheduled for Saturday.
The APC screening committee cleared several politicians believed to be loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, including Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Martin Amaewhule.
The lawmakers reportedly disqualified from the primaries are: Hon. Anderson Alisson, Hon. Awaji-Inombek Abiante and Hon. Boma Goodhead
The three members were among lawmakers who openly supported Governor Fubara during the political crisis in Rivers State. They were also reportedly among the federal lawmakers who defected alongside the governor to the APC.
Meanwhile, another lawmaker said to be aligned with Governor Fubara, Hon. Boniface Sunday Emerengwa, is reportedly seeking a Senate ticket, although the final list of cleared aspirants for the Senate primaries has yet to be released.
