Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, is set to commence the commissioning of several completed projects across the state from Monday, August 17, to Monday, August 31, 2026.
Addressing Journalists in Port Harcourt, Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Dagogo Fubara said, Governor Siminalayi Fubara has decided to inaugurate only 10 projects out of the numerous projects completed by his administration.
He said the Governor is not keen on inaugurating projects merely for the sake of ceremony, but is more focused on delivering quality projects that will have a meaningful impact on the people of Rivers State
The commissioning programme will cover major road, health, education and infrastructure projects across several local government areas.
The projects and scheduled dates are:
Monday, August 17: Buguma–Degema–Abonnema Road, covering Asari-Toru, Degema and Akuku-Toru LGAs.
Tuesday, August 18: Egwi–Afara–Mba Road in Etche LGA.
Thursday, August 20: Omademe Internal Roads in Omademe, Ikwerre LGA.
Friday, August 21: New Air Force Base Runway, Port Harcourt LGA.
Monday, August 24: Elele–Egbeda–Omoku Dual Carriageway, covering Ikwerre, Emohua and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGAs.
Tuesday, August 25: Capt. Elechi Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Centre and Engineering Faculty Building in Rumuola, Obio/Akpor LGA.
Wednesday, August 26: Agba Ndele Road and Bridge in Ndele, Emohua LGA.
Thursday, August 27: New Zonal Hospital, Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni LGA.
Friday, August 28: Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital and New General Hospital in Rumuigbo, Obio/Akpor LGA.
Monday, August 31: Bonny National Grammar School, Bonny LGA.
