The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Felix Morka, has stated that he is not aware of any arrangement preventing Siminalayi Fubara from seeking a second term in office.
Morka made the clarification while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme. He also described Governor Fubara as the leader of the APC in Rivers State, noting that governors traditionally serve as party leaders in their respective states.
According to him, while governors play leadership roles within the party structure at the state level, the responsibility for conducting primary elections rests solely with the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
Morka stressed that no governor is in charge of APC primary elections in any state, insisting that the NWC remains fully responsible for the conduct and supervision of the exercise nationwide.
