Fresh Manna 21 June
MEDITATION SCRIPTURE: “Remember now thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say; I have no pleasure in them.” (Ecc.12:1).
READ: PS.90:12
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
In every programme or event, there is always a stipulated time for every activity. Knowing your stipulated time guides your actions and words. Unfortunately, many people pass through life as if they have time under their control. Our meditation scripture pointed out two different seasons of life. First is the day of your youth. This can be regarded as your days of activities of life from beginning of age of accountability. At this stage, you have the power of choice and the will to act according to your choice. Your youthful strength is a great plus to achieve whatever fit you desire. The preacher enjoins us to remember God our creator at this time using all that we have, all that we are to serve Him. The book of Deuteronomy puts it this way, “And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul and with all thy might (Deut. 4:6).
When the youthful days expire, the second season sets in, it is called in our focal scripture the “evil days”. The days you look back at the years you have spent on earth. Two emotions characterized this season. Joy of fulfillment to those who have done well and regrets to those who wasted their lives and their years. Acknowledging and sticking with God when you have the opportunity is the antidote to a regretful future and painful end.

PRAYER POINT: Lord, help me to acknowledge You in all that I am.
