Former Minister of Science and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has reportedly been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
According to reports, Nnaji was taken into custody on Wednesday morning at Akanu Ibiam International Airport while preparing to board a private jet bound for Abuja.
The arrest was reportedly carried out at the request of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over allegations that he forged his academic certificates.
Reports also indicate that the former minister had allegedly ignored several invitations from the anti-graft agency to respond to petitions concerning his management of the ministry during his tenure in office.
