LAGOS — The Federal High Court in Lagos has granted N20 million bail to music producer Ezekiel Onyedikachi, popularly known as EeZeeTee, in connection with a $255,000 alleged foreign exchange fraud.
Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke, who presided over the case, issued the bail order on Friday, stipulating that the defendant must provide one surety who resides in Lagos and owns property equivalent to the bail amount.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed the charges against Onyedikachi, a former manager of gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, over the alleged fraudulent transaction. The judge had earlier released the defendant into the custody of his counsel, Ojukwu Chikaosolu, and gave him 72 hours to fulfill the bail conditions.
