Social commentator Isaac Fayose has praised the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, for personally touring police checkpoints and overseeing the removal of unlawful roadblocks across the state.
In a video posted on X on Tuesday, Fayose described the initiative as commendable and encouraged police commissioners in other states to adopt similar measures.
According to him, the Rivers police chief has consistently conducted inspections of checkpoints and major highways, a move he said demonstrates proactive leadership and commitment to improving policing standards.
Fayose further advocated for the retraining of police personnel and urged senior officers to intensify supervision and monitoring of officers deployed on roads to ensure professionalism and accountability.
