Spokesperson of Civil Society Organizations in Rivers State, Solomon Lenu has described as fake, reports of Hon. Farah Dagogo’s appointment as leader of the People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State.
Lenu, in a statement urged members of the public to disregard the information being peddled by the All Progressives Congress.
“Fake News by Rivers APC: PDP has not made Hon Farah Dagogo leader of any party in Rivers state. Plz disregard this hoax,” he said.
There were reports that National chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu and Presidential Candidate of the party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had appointed Hon. Farah Dagogo as new leader of the party in the state.
A Twitter user identified as “Mayor of ph” disclosed this in a tweet Today, citing AIT as the source of the information.
“Atiku Abubakar, the PDP’s National leader, and Iyorcha Ayu, the PDP’s National chairman, have appointed Hon. Farah Dagogo as the party’s leader in the state of Rivers. A.I.T. news,” he tweeted.
