Barr, Sopakariba Batubo one of the lawyers to detained Rivers Federal Lawmaker, Farah Dagogo has reacted to a statement by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike that Farah is an illiterate.
Sopakaribo, during an interview on AIT’s Kakaaki on Monday, said Farah has a BSc and an MSc in Sociology, and is currently running a Ph.D. programme.
According to him, such a person cannot be an illiterate, noting that Farah is an educated fellow.
He described Farah’s arrest as politically motivated, and that the lawmaker’s offence is his quest to be governor of the state, and his support for Atiku’s Presidential ambition.
He also described the allegation levelled against Farah as false, noting that he did not sponsor cultist to disrupt the screening of the People’s Democratic Party.
Mr. Sopakaribo wondered why Farah was given a state Assembly ticket and that of the House of Representatives if he was a cultist.
He revealed that Farah has always supported the Rivers State Governor, declaring him the best Federal lawmaker from Rivers State.
