The Supervisor for Youths and Sports in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Umeh Henry Opurum, has announced a ₦100,000 Facebook giveaway to mark the first anniversary of the administration of the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Chima Boniface Njoku.
Under the initiative tagged “Open-Hand Challenge,” 20 lucky participants are expected to receive ₦5,000 each for posting short videos on Facebook appreciating the leadership of the council chairman.
According to Opurum, participants are required to record a 30 to 40-second video saying: “Thank you, FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for giving us Hon. Chima Boniface Njoku as the Executive Chairman of Etche Local Government. Under his leadership, Etche is working!”
Participants are also expected to post the video on their Facebook timelines and tag Hon. Umeh Henry Opurum.
Explaining the initiative, Opurum said it was his way of celebrating what he described as the chairman’s commitment, vision and achievements in Etche Local Government Area.
He highlighted the administration’s reported efforts in tackling land grabbing, providing electricity infrastructure to communities without electricity poles, connecting communities to the national grid and acquiring two caterpillars for feeder road rehabilitation.
He said the giveaway was also aimed at showcasing what he described as positive developments under the current administration.
The supervisor said the 20 winners would be selected and announced accordingly.
